Long-form documentaries, one African city at a time.
The series
Each episode spends forty minutes in one city: where it came from, how people get to work, what they earn and what they pay, what they eat, who runs it, what is hard about it — and why people stay.
Every figure comes from a sourced research file — national statistics offices, the World Bank, the UN and local press — and is checked at the time of production. Where the numbers are uncertain, the episode says so.
Episode 01 is Nairobi. Which city comes next is up to you — tell us in the comments.
